In accordance with the General Guidelines for National Societies under the China Association for Science and Technology, the Provisional Measures for the Public Notification of Executive Appointments in National Societies (CAST Letter [2019] No. 183), and the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association (IHFCA) Constitution, and in line with the Association's operational plans, a written review was conducted on May 26, 2025, by the IHFCA. The review approved the proposal to nominate Mr. Zu Sijie of Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) as an additional Vice Chairman of the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association.

Nel will build a new fully automated production line at HerØya in Norway, doubling its capacity for production of alkaline electrolyzer stacks to ~1 GW. The new line is expected to be in operation from April 2024. Total capex commitment for equipment will be around EUR 35 million.
