On 10 April 2026, the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association (IHFCA) and GH2 India successfully co-hosted the webinar “China’s Hydrogen Energy Landscape — Policies, Industry Development & Opportunities.” The event brought together participants from both sides to exchange views on China’s hydrogen policy framework, industrial development pathway, and potential opportunities for future international cooperation.
Following the success of the first IHFCA–GH2 India webinar on India’s green hydrogen landscape, this second session focused on providing Indian stakeholders with a structured overview of China’s hydrogen sector, with particular attention to hydrogen production, storage and transportation, refueling infrastructure, and fuel cell applications.
The webinar featured an opening presentation by IHFCA on China’s hydrogen energy development journey, covering key technology pathways, major demonstration achievements, and relevant policy developments. It also included presentations from leading Chinese enterprises across the hydrogen value chain: SHPT shared its products, technical strengths, and development strategy; HydoTech introduced its innovations and solutions in green hydrogen and green fuels; and REFIRE Group presented its latest developments in fuel cell systems and FC vehicle applications.
During the Q&A session, participants held practical and forward-looking discussions on topics including green hydrogen, green ammonia, green methanol, green hydrogen assessment standards, and possible cooperation pathways between Chinese companies and Indian stakeholders.
The webinar further strengthened exchanges between stakeholders from both sides and provided a valuable platform for enhancing mutual understanding and exploring future collaboration in the hydrogen and fuel cell sector. IHFCA looks forward to continuing to work with international partners to promote dialogue, cooperation, and the high-quality development of the global hydrogen industry.
