From June 18 to 20, 2025, the 2025 International Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Vehicle Congress & Exhibition (FCVC 2025), co-hosted by the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association (IHFCA) and the China Society of Automotive Engineers (CSAE), was held at the Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center in Jiading District, Shanghai. On June 18, the Second Meeting of the First Standardization Committee of IHFCA was successfully convened in a hybrid format during FCVC 2025. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Wu Zhixin, Chair of the First Standardization Committee of IHFCA and former Deputy General Manager of China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd. Attendees included members of the IHFCA First Standardization Committee, representatives from IHFCA member organizations, and other invited stakeholders from across the hydrogen and fuel cell industry chain.

During the discussion session, participating experts engaged in in-depth exchanges on future priority directions for standardization and expressed strong interest in actively contributing to the committee’s upcoming work.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Wu Zhixin emphasized that the Standardization Working Committee of IHFCA should further enhance its role as a platform, leveraging an international perspective and the strengths of scientific organizations to promote communication and cooperation in hydrogen and fuel cell standardization. He stressed the importance of accelerating the development of high-quality IHFCA standards, encouraging their adoption, and actively monitoring the development of international standards in the hydrogen and fuel cell sector. Under the framework of international standardization bodies such as ISO and IEC, IHFCA, as a Category A Liaison Organization, should fully perform its liaison functions and contribute to the development of international standards, thereby supporting the rapid growth of the industry.
As a Category A Liaison Organization with ISO/TC 197 and IEC/TC 105, the IHFCA provides an international platform for industry participation in standard development. IHFCA is committed to promoting the standardization of the hydrogen and fuel cell industry, reducing technical barriers through standards, and facilitating the large-scale deployment of fuel cells in transportation, energy, and other sectors. These efforts aim to contribute to the transformation and application of international hydrogen and fuel cell technical standards and ultimately support the achievement of carbon neutrality goals.
