The Fourth Session of the First Executive Board Meeting of the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association (IHFCA) took place on June 4, 2024, at the Shanghai Auto Exhibition Center, held alongside the International Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Vehicle Congress & Exhibition (FCVC). The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, with both in-person and online participation.
Key figures at the meeting included IHFCA Chairman, Professor Ouyang Minggao, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Tsinghua University, who delivered an online address; Zhang Jinhua, Executive Vice Chairman of IHFCA and Chairman of the China Society of Automotive Engineers; Xu Qi, IHFCA Special Consultant and Shuji Yuda, Vice Chairman of IHFCA and Vice General Manager of Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. The meeting was moderated by IHFCA Secretary General, Wang Ju, and attended by representatives from member organizations.
Chairman Ouyang Minggao emphasized the importance of global collaboration in advancing the hydrogen energy industry. He called for member organizations to actively fulfill their responsibilities, leverage their leadership roles within the industry, and work together to drive progress in the global hydrogen energy sector and the prosperity of international hydrogen markets. He also urged IHFCA to continue serving its members by addressing their needs, maintaining a steady pace in global development, expanding the membership base, and promoting green, low-carbon, and sustainable growth to build a "clean and beautiful new world." He called upon industry peers globally to form a shared consensus for industry development, foster a healthy ecosystem, and engage in sustained, collaborative efforts to chart a new chapter in hydrogen energy development.
Following this, IHFCA Secretary General Wang Ju presented the 2023-2024 Annual Work Report, which included updates on the progress, financial situation, and future work plans for 2024-2025.
