On July 30th, a delegation from the International Technology Department of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the British Embassy in China visited the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association (IHFCA). The delegation included Nicole Gregory, Deputy Director of the International Technology Department of the FCO, Perry Smith, Policy Officer from the same department, Alex Way, Counsellor for Climate Change, Energy, Environment, and International Development at the British Embassy in China, and David Giles, Head of Energy Transition at the Department for Business and International Trade of the Embassy. Secretary-General Wang Ju of the IHFCA participated in the exchange meeting.
Secretary-General Wang Ju warmly welcomed the delegation from the International Technology Department of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the British Embassy in China, expressing enthusiasm for potential collaborations in the field of hydrogen energy. During the meeting, the two sides engaged in discussions covering various topics such as the current state of hydrogen energy technology development in China and the UK, the respective policy frameworks, regulatory measures, standards, and potential areas for future technical cooperation.
Looking ahead, the two parties pledged to deepen their dialogues and collaborations in areas encompassing conference collaboration, international exchanges, standards development, research projects, and fostering industrial and technological talents. Through these endeavors, they aim to jointly promote exchanges and cooperation in the hydrogen energy industry between China, the UK, and globally.
