A Hydrogen-Defined Future International Technology Exchange Conference of High-Performance Alkaline Electrolyzers

Hydrogen is an abundant secondary energy source with the advantages of zero pollution and zero carbon emissions. It is gradually becoming one of the most important carriers of global energy transition and development. The global energy crisis is also contributing to the development momentum of hydrogen. As one of the major areas of development, hydrogen has become an important strategic option for accelerating energy transition, cultivating new economic growth points, and has been widely used in the automobile and chemical industries, demonstrating its role in decarbonization and its contribution to carbon reduction and climate change control.

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), global demand for hydrogen will reach 115 million tons by 2030, and this figure may rise to 130 million tons if governments around the world fulfill their climate commitments. The installed capacity of global electrolytic hydrogen production equipment is expected to reach 134GW. In the context of growing hydrogen demand globally, hydrogen production by alkaline water electrolysis remains central to hydrogen production in the short-medium term. Therefore, developing the hydrogen market to realize advanced technologies, such as single tank large output, low power consumption, high electric density, wide load and high response, miniaturized and light-weight equipment with high quality, has become a consensus in the industry.

At present, boosting large-scale equipment upgrade with technology iteration and accelerating the construction of product standard systems for hydrogen production equipment and components have become new trends and requirements for the development of new high-performance alkaline electrolysis equipment. The International Technology Exchange Conference of High-Performance Alkaline Electrolyzers, themed "Accelerate Innovation to Build a Hydrogen-Defined Future," organized by the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association and the China Society of Automotive Engineers, aims to promote innovation and development in the hydrogen industry, accelerate industrial technology upgrades, and standard system construction to achieve a win-win result for the upstream and downstream industries.
